Effective Date: September 17, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to Shanghai, provided by AvachaTech, LLC (“AvachaTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using Shanghai, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Shanghai
Shanghai is a local single-player iPhone card game in which one human plays a four-hand or seven-hand game against one to four independent computer opponents. The app includes local saved games and separate leaderboard statistics. It does not provide accounts, online multiplayer, or purchases in the current release.
2. License and Acceptable Use
AvachaTech grants you a personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use Shanghai on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable App Store terms. You may not misuse, copy, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Shanghai except where applicable law permits.
3. Gameplay and Computer Opponents
Computer opponents make independent gameplay decisions using their configured personality, memory, and behavior attributes. AI explanations describe gameplay logic and are provided for entertainment and understanding; they do not represent advice or a guarantee of a particular outcome.
4. Local Data and Privacy
Shanghai stores preferences, saved-game state, leaderboard statistics, and related gameplay history locally. Use of the app is also governed by the Shanghai Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual Property
Shanghai and its software, design, text, graphics, rules presentation, logos, sounds, and other content are owned by AvachaTech or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
6. Updates, Availability, and Support
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue Shanghai or any part of it. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, or error-free play. Support is available through the Shanghai support page.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Shanghai is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, AvachaTech disclaims express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AvachaTech will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, use, or goodwill arising from Shanghai. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so they may not apply to you.
9. Governing Law and Changes
These Terms are governed by Washington law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these Terms from time to time and will revise the effective date when we do.
